What is Coaching?

Coaching is a guided experience encouraging the client to move from where they are to where they want to be. The intentional conversations help the client become self-aware, which opens the door for lasting transformation. In coaching, the belief is that the client, has the answers needed for forward movement. It's the coach's job to come alongside the client to help them draw those answers out through focused listening and questioning.

What Does a Coaching Session Look Like?

A coaching session beings with an outcome or topic the client would like to explore. After exploring or creating options, there comes a point where a specific focus or intention becomes clear. This is what the client needs to move forward. From here, an action plan is developed. The coach will ask questions to help identify the best course of action, but the plan is ultimately determined by the client. Finally, some form of accountability is established.
